OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a outgoing, task-juggling, culture savvy star to join the New York office of our creative communications agency. We opened our doors in 2004—and we’ve stayed open ever since. Open in the way we think, work, research, resource, test, plan, collaborate and create. And, with offices in 3 different timezones, we’re also open 24 hours a day!* We have recently launched the New York office and, starting with a small team we plan to follow in the footsteps of our other offices, growing to become a major player in the US as we are elsewhere. (*when we really need to be)



WHAT DO WE DO?

All kinds of interesting things. But you could say we specialise in Creative Communications. That is PR, brand strategy, events, digital strategy and content creation for a range of clients in the entertainment sector and from some of the biggest consumer brands. We conceive and realise ideas that get people talking; events people want to go to, products they need in their lives and digital content they like to chow down on.



Currently, we’re lead PR and content agency for a leading spirits brand which has recently taken us to Paris, Shanghai, Moscow and London. Sometimes we roll like that. Other times, we don’t , whence you can find us drinking tea and laughing at each other.



ABOUT YOU

You are a walking, talking, overspilling-with-knowledge-and-enthusiasm person who wants to grow with the new office of an established global agency. You’ve a keen interest in music, contemporary culture and have a desire to deliver excellent work for some of the biggest brands in the world. Plus, you are happy to get your hands dirty in getting us off the ground. We’re on the hunt for a splendid someone to support our team as we find a permanent office space, connect with key suppliers and contacts and generally get our house in order during our first few months of business in the US.



REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience in working in creative/media office situation (PR a bonus)

• Organized with strong time-management skills and initiative

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask efficiently

• MS Office Suite (Specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel)

• Energetic, creative



THE ROLE

• Day to day team co-ordination; general office management organising travel, managing diaries

• Liaising with 3rd party suppliers; couriers, phone companies, printers etc

• Connecting company to relevant contacts, companies, places that may be of interest

• Leading the search for a permanent office space (currently in a temporary space on Bond at Bowery)

• Gradually being brought in on client activity; supporting team on implementation of global PR activity and digital content – all within the entertainment sector

• Opportunity to help grow and shape a new creative company

• Longer term opportunity to spend time working at London/Sydney offices as part of sabbatical/training



PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Friendly, drama-free with a strong sense of taking pride in work

• Able to contribute to a small but perfectly formed “new kid on the block” office within a global agency

• Self motivated and driven to do great work for the company and great clients whilst having fun along the way
